Wow, it’s been a long time. I’m glad to be back writing, though, and I have a bunch of ideas coming your way! I sat down the other night and made myself a nice spreadsheet with blog post ideas, post due dates, etc. Hopefully that will keep me on track (heh). I want to expand the blog a bit as well, so stay tuned! After this post I will start posting weekly content on health and beauty, skincare, travel, food, information about the environment and whatever else comes my way. I hope you enjoy!
Wow! Day 14. Towards the end there I didn’t think this day would come. I’m excited for the end of this series because I found out it is indeed quite a bit of work to rush home, take pictures, and write a blog post everyday (or so). However, I think this series has helped me to get more into the blogging habit and has given me a lot of good practice with photography, editing, and writing. I have a few more post ideas for the future. I think my new sustainable schedule will be new posts once or twice every week.
Now, let’s talk spring colors!
I think of Kim Possible every time I pull out these green jeans, and I am so tempted to wear a black shirt with them. One day, one day.
The past two days have opened my eyes to dressing in regular casual wear after work instead of PJs or super soft leggings.
I have to be honest. I’m super giddy about this getup! I threw it on after work with the intentions of running errands, but ended up staying in all night instead. Hubs and I made pizza and finished off with some organic ice cream.
Woahhhhh, we’re half way there!
I’m excited that I’ve actually made it this far and that I plan on finishing this 14-day journey. It’s been a journey not only for me and my style habits, but also a steep learning/adapting curve to blogging every day. I’m not the best with actually sticking with something like this, but I think that because I’ve been sharing it on my Instagram and on the Internet in general, it’s forced me to keep going. It’s been a great experience so far. I even have some fun post topics lined up for later!
This is my ultimate fall/winter weekend outfit formula. Every piece is soft and allows me to move, while the layers add some fun color and depth. We saw a movie and I was completely comfortable the entire time. That is except for the part where I had to leave mid-movie to go to the restroom because I had gulped down an entire Nalgene of water 30 minutes prior to leaving for the theater. Pro tip: don’t drink an entire liter of water in less than 5 minutes if you are going to have to be sitting still for an extended period of time. In my defense, I was concerned I wasn’t drinking enough water throughout the day, so I thought I would make up for it.
Today was all about being an adult. I went to the dentist, we painted part of the upstairs of our house, some guy from a roof company came over to look at our roof, and we went on date night. Needless to say, most of those things required an outfit change. So, today I have not one, not two, but three(!) combos to show you. It’s like better than BOGO day at the grocery store, right?
This is my typical outfit that I throw on when I get home from work. My job often requires me to wear a fire-retardant uniform, and when I get home from work all I want to do is put on some comfy clothes that make me feel great. My after-work lounge outfits usually consist of a sports bra, t-shirt, a selection from my fave sweatshirt stash, and either these running shorts or one of my few pairs of leggings. I can curl up on the couch or just be comfortable while washing the dishes and tidying up.
Day 2: Comfy Cozy Classy
I love this blazer. It’s knit and soft and stretchy. It keeps me warm without making me feel bundled up. I feel like I’m dressing up and down at the same time. I love wearing this blazer to big meetings and more corporate-type events. I even wore it to one of my bridal showers, actually. Looking back, that was probably not the best style choice, but I felt great and that’s all that matters, right?
